Made-to-measure magnetic air intake screens

MagneShield® provides a removable barrier against leaves, insects, seeds, pollen and other airborne debris. Each installation is assessed against the equipment, intake geometry, available magnetic contact area and maintenance requirements. Mesh selection also takes account of the contamination present and the system’s airflow requirements.

From a single intake to multiple panels across larger cooling plant, screens are manufactured to suit the installation.

Frame and mesh options for your air intake screens

Standard frames for smaller air intakes

For small to medium-sized installations, including suitable AHU intakes, condenser units, external intakes and internal vents.

Heavy Duty frames for larger intake screens

For larger intake areas and multi-panel arrangements. Heavy Duty screens can be positioned side by side or end to end to cover larger surfaces, with the fixing configuration assessed for the casing and panel layout.

Standard mesh for general airborne debris

For general intake protection where larger airborne debris is the principal concern.

Ultra-Fine mesh for finer airborne debris

An alternative where finer airborne debris is a concern, subject to assessment of the required capture characteristics and airflow implications.

Frame duty and mesh grade are separate selection decisions. Streme can advise on the appropriate combination for your application.

MagneShield® air intake screen installations

Data centre cooling plant protection - Nationwide, Berkshire

Streme supplied and fitted made-to-measure Heavy Duty MagneShield® screens to cooling plant intakes at Nationwide Building Society’s data centre.

The installation used Standard Mesh, Anthracite Grey frames and a magnetic fixing arrangement configured around the existing casing and adjoining panels. Screens provided coverage across the coil intake faces while retaining removable access for maintenance.

Chiller intake screens - Oxford University

Streme supplied and fitted Standard and Heavy Duty intake screens to chiller installations affected by pigeon-related contamination, including feathers, nesting material and other organic debris.

Screens were manufactured to suit the individual units and provide a removable barrier in front of the coil faces.

Removable air intake screens for cleaning and maintenance

MagneShield® panels can be removed for inspection, approved cleaning and access to the equipment behind them. Cleaning methods and inspection frequency should reflect the supplied mesh, contamination levels and site maintenance arrangements.
