This is a made to measure screen. Fitted with our tried and tested Poll-Tex ® mesh. This mesh is highly effective at keeping pollen spores out, thereby reducing the impact of allergies such as hay fever and Asthma. The mesh has been tested by the Charité hospital in Berlin, (one of Europe's largest University Hospitals) and awarded Pollen Mesh Certification.

The screen will also prevent dust and of course all those pesky insects – even midges. With all these benefits, the mesh still offers a high degree of transparency and relatively good air flow. Just what you need to make the most of those warm summer days!

Perfect for French doors, and small bi-folds and ideal for every room in the home. Simply pull the screens across to cover your door opening then release and retract to store away until next time. The screen can be fitted into the door recess (between the side walls, lintel and floor) or straight onto the door frame around the opening and you can choose a White, Anthracite Grey or Brown frame to suit your requirements. How does this screen work?

The screen consists of 2 vertical cassettes and a top and bottom guide. The cassettes, guides and channel are made with high quality powder coated aluminium. All fixings - end caps, handles, locking mechanism and brackets - are colour co-ordinated to ensure the screen blends into the surrounding door frame.

The pollen mesh is rolled on aluminium tubes which are held in the cassettes. The other end of the mesh is fitted to aluminium bars (handle bars) which are used to pull the mesh out of the cassette - across the doors. As the handle bar is pulled across, it slides in the top and bottom guides - this holds the mesh in place. The mesh is also held under tension by springs, located in the head cassettes.

The handle bars from each cassette are secured to each other with a strong magnetic strip. One screen is also fitted with a locking mechanism which allows this screen to be locked in position so the second screen can be rolled across to meet it. When the screens need to be released, the handle bars are pulled away from each other and each screen returns to its head cassette.
